August 28th to September 19th First held in 1935 and annually since 1955, the Vuelta runs for three weeks in a changing route across Spain. The 65th Vuelta a Espana is made up of 21 arduous stages covering 3338 kilometres. For more info check out the official website.

The R.I.S Junior Tour of Wales Cycle Race takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend (28th-30th) and comprises of 5 stages of fast and furious road racing over just 3 days. The event is open to any rider aged between 16 and 18 and female riders of any age. The race headquarters for Saturday and Monday is at Nantyglo Leisure Centre in the borough of Blaenau Gwent and is sponsored by the local County Borough Council. On Sunday the H.Q. will be at Bryn Bach Park and the Prince of Wales Inn. The race travels through the Counties of Gwent, Dyfed and Powys - through the spectacular scenery of the Brecon Beacons. The race starts with a prologue time trial, finishing up the severe climb of The Tumble. Then 4 road race stages, including a circuit race. The final stage again takes in the breathtaking climb of Tumble Mountain, a 5-mile climb of a 10% gradient. Previous races have attracted riders from Holland, France, Eire and America, with past winners going on to ride for top Continental Teams and win the British Road Race. Geraint Thomas, David Millar and Jeremy Hunt have all riden the Junior Tour of Wales. Entries are always welcomed ! 28th-30th August. Mildenhall is once again gearing itself up for a huge influx of cyclists over the forthcoming August Bank Holiday weekend as the annual Mildenhall Cycling Rally wheels in. The cycling extravaganza, organised by Mildenhall Cycling Club, takes place over the whole of the bank holiday at the town's Riverside Middle School. The Rally attracts people from across the UK and the event organisers strive to provide something for all types of cyclists, young and old. A great long weekend of fun & sport.

The dates for the 2010 Tour of Ireland have been confirmed as 18th to 22nd August 2010. Watch our very own Dan Fleeman of the Raleigh squad compete in this Years Tour of Ireland.
