I and 4 mates have committed ourselves to doing the 3 Peaks Challenge in September. I started to think about doing this last year but none of my friends would get enthusiastic about it. But after a few beers the other week I managed to convince them it was a good idea. Amazingly, they now can't get enough of it! Getting excited about buying new boots, rucksack and head torches, hahaha! James (one of the team) has set up a site for us to raise money for Help for Heroes. They provide direct support to those Servicemen and women wounded in the line of duty in the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Please click on the link and give generously. The 2010 Tour of Britain will once again take place over eight days, beginning in Rochdale on Saturday 11th September and finishing at the heart of London on Saturday 18th September. Of the 13 venues who are hosting a stage of the race, nine are new to the event and none of the stage finish venues have ever hosted a stage finish before. The 2007 Tour of Britain is going to be more exciting than ever!

This year the beautiful European City of Budapest hosts the final of the World Triathlon Championship Series, from the 8th to the 12th of September.
