The 'baby' of the squad at just 20 years old, from Ilkley, Yorkshire. Mark is currently studying Physical Education at Leeds University and puts this into practice most days on his bike! Infact, as well as riding on the Road, Mark excels at Cyclo Cross and recently got 5th in the 2008 British U23 National Champs. Mark had an impressive 2007 with 6 wins: 1st Tour of N. Ireland Prologue, Yellow Jersey holder Tour of the North, 1st Stage 2 - Cheshire 2-Day, 3rd National Mountain Bike U23 Championship, 18th National Road Race Championship.

Personal Biog

I'm currently single. I like all sorts of outdoor activities, including Rock Climbing and Instructing Sports. I like to relax by going out with friends.

I listen to all sorts of music but prefer Dance and House.

My favourite sportsperson is Noriyuki Haga (Superbikes) because he always races on the limit and has an all or nothing approach. When you watch him race you're on the edge of your seat!

How did I get into Cycling? I used to compete in Triathlon and took up Cycling as it was my strongest discipline. I really enjoy the sport as it gives me a great buzz, whether it's racing in the bunch, being involved in a sprint finish or descending fast.

When Dave put me in touch with Ben, Sport Beans - Wilier seemed like a well organised Professional team where I could benefit from the experience of my team-mates. My aims for 2008 are regular top-20 finishes in Premier Calendars and a couple of top-10's. A number of wins in local events!
