The 100-year-old pedigree of the Wilier-Triestina name – also known as the Italian Stallion – states simple facts: Wilier is one of the oldest and most experienced names in road racing producing around 13,000 bikes a year serving 250 dealers across Italy.

The Wilier brand is up there with all the enigmatic Italian names: Vespa, Alfa, Bugatti, Ferrari and Pavarotti.

In fact, Wilier is a byword for thoroughbred pedigree, performance and passion. You just don’t get through 100 years of road racing history and not learn a thing or two about bikes.

What they have learned is that style comes with a delicate touch to make a super-light racing bike that is incredibly strong. The designs wring every last drop of performance from the bike. Perfect harmony between man and machine on the road.

Wilier and ATB

Last year ATB Sales Ltd helped to celebrate the Wilier Centenary with a truly exceptional range of road racing bikes available from a network of independent bike dealers in the UK.

And a fine example of the Italian craftsmanship for 2008 is the superb Le Roi, the King of the Road - a beautiful looking machine with a unidirectional carbon- fibre monocoque frameset, constructed with a patented moulding process that enables precise control of tubing wall thickness. Not to mention the ingenious chrome-plated carbon rear triangle.

The bike is a mix of tubing carbon that provides the Le Roi with a stiff, lightweight frame that weighs in at 990g (without forks). The Le Roi comes as a custom build package that could include Campagnolo's new Record group for 2008, with Fulcrum's Racing Zero wheels, ITM's new 101 carbon fibre stem and bars and Selle Italia's new saddle.

Team Lampre – has taken top honours aboard Wiliers in the Tour de France and proved the brand’s pedigree.
